Ali Weinig SWC, MPA
Therapist
I am a Social Work Candidate (SWC) and certified Wellness Coach. With over a decade in mental health care, I am deeply committed to helping individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered on their path to building a fulfilled life.
My philosophy is grounded in the belief that wellness is holistic. That means addressing not just emotional challenges, but the environments, habits, and systems that shape our everyday lives. I believe each individual's journey is unique to them and I tailor therapy to fit your uniqueness. I blend therapeutic techniques, public policy, cultural competency, and coaching techniques to support you in building the life you deserve—on your own terms.
I specialize in working with adults and teens to help with self-exploration, how to thrive, feel fulfilled, relationship challenges, ADHD, substance use, stress, depression, and anxiety. As a first responder myself, I also specialize in working with first responders to help develop skills and resilience for unique experiences. I work with families to increase positive communication and improve dynamics.
I use a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), positive psychology, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), motivational interviewing (MI), positive psychology, and a strengths-based approach to help individuals identify challenges and overcome them.
I have a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Aurora with a specialization in substance use. I also have a master's degree from CUNY (City University of New York) Baruch College in Public Administration with a specialization in public policy analysis. I also have a Wellness Coach certification from Wellcoaches. My professional background includes work as a crisis clinician, inpatient substance use counselor, withdrawal management specialist, in-home case manager, and program analyst for developmental disabilities and child welfare.
